7th July 2007 - To celebrate Orchid's 10th Anniversary year we thought we'd do something special for Derby's school children.

So we ran a 'design a mousemat' competition.

We asked all the Derby city kids to design a mousemat to show us how they think technology will be used in the future. We didn't count on the phenomenal response! Over 400 children from 30 local schools entered.

Needless to say, judging was very difficult even with the help of Hewlett Packard and The Derby Evening Telegraph.

We've attached the winners and runners up for you to look at - they won laptops and all-in-one printers respectively. The two schools will get 100 mats showing their winner's design. They'll be receiving their prizes at today's Derby City Digital Media Awards (which Orchid proudly sponsors).
