3rd May 2007 - Orchid are awarded Investor in People for the second time

For the second time running Orchid Business Computing continue to meet the requirements of the Investor in People Standard.

The conclusion written by the IIP assessor John Flewitt said;

Orchid Business Computing has seen both staff changes and substantial growth since the last assessment, however the “culture” of involving people and valuing their contribution to the business is still very much evident and more formal approaches are steadily evolving. You felt you gained some useful feedback from the original assessment and your reaction to and implementation of these suggestions demonstrates a genuine will to improve and develop. It is, in my experience, unusual to see such commitment to (and awareness of the benefits of) investing in people in a business of this size: you are to be commended for the way you have embraced the good practice of Investors in People in a very natural and practical way without succumbing to the temptation of forms and bureaucracy for their own sake.
