17th December 2006 - £1.7 million healthcare contract for Orchid

Over the next three years, Orchid Business Computing will be updating, extending and supporting computer networks belonging to the General Healthcare Group with the latest, state-of-the-art, Hewlett Packard Hardware and Novell Operating Systems.

Explained Paul Hayes, Healthcare Sales Manager at Orchid: "Over recent years we have developed an excellent reputation within the healthcare industry, particularly in the private sector.

In addition to strengthening Orchid's standing in the private healthcare sector, this latest contract enhances the company's position as a 'Preferred Partner' of Hewlett Packard, one of the world's largest computer manufacturers.

Preferred Partner status gives Orchid and the company's clients access to the HPs latest equipment at the best prices.

Continued Paul: "Without being a Preferred Partner it would be almost impossible to deliver a contract of this size and we are confident that the quality of the HP products, combined with our own installation expertise and after sales care will exceed their IT expectations."
